Each member of our team is committed to offering you a relaxing stay. In order to make every guest’s experience as pleasant as possible, The Lodge at Torrey Pines requests your cooperation in observing the following policies as part of the agreement between you and The Lodge at Torrey Pines. We reserve all rights to refuse service to any guests who do not follow or comply with these policies.

Arrival and Departure

Guest check-in is after 4:00 p.m. on arrival day. Check-out is no later than 11:00 a.m. on the departure day.

We are happy to accommodate early arrivals, subject to availability at check-in. If you arrive before 4:00 p.m. and your room is not available, we will be pleased to store your luggage until your room is ready.

Requests for late check-outs are not guaranteed and may incur additional charges. Late check-out requests should be made to the front desk and received the day prior to departure. We will be pleased to store your luggage through 6:00 p.m. on departure day should we be unable to accommodate a late check-out request.


RESORT FEE

A daily resort fee of $55 allows all guests to enjoy unlimited Wi-Fi access in guest rooms and public areas, local and domestic long-distance phone calls, access to the fitness center, yoga classes on the weekends, use of the pool cabanas, loaner putters from Golf Services and golf balls to use on the putting green, in-room coffee, tea, and bottled water, overnight shoe shine service upon request, and choice of newspaper delivered to your guest room.


Cancellation

Guest room reservations made through the Hotel’s website will be assigned a cancellation policy based on dates of stay and time of booking. The cancellation policy will be displayed at time of booking prior to confirming the reservation.


Guest room Taxes

Room rates are subject to prevailing city transient occupancy tax, San Diego Tourism Marketing District Assessment, and California Tourism Assessment Tax at the time of your stay. Currently, taxes and mandatory assessments are 10.5%, 2% and $0.94 per room per night respectively, and are subject to change by the City of San Diego and the California Travel and Tourism Commission.


Special Requests

The Lodge at Torrey Pines will try to honor special requests (such as a specific floor or room number, bed type, rollaway beds, crib, etc.). However, the availability of these items cannot be guaranteed in advance. We permit one additional rollaway per king bedded room. Rollaway beds are not permitted in rooms with two queen beds. Please notify us of your special requests upon booking your reservation.


Accessibility

The Lodge at Torrey Pines is pleased to offer a limited number of accessible rooms. Please call us directly at (858) 453-4420 to make your reservation for an accessible room or please note your accessible room request in the comments section of your online reservations.


Room Occupancy

Guests will be charged an additional $75/night for each additional person over the standard room occupancy. Children seventeen (17) years and under may share the same room with their parents at no additional charge (up to a maximum of 4 children depending on room type). The number of additional guests/room above double occupancy is subject to maximum occupancy limits and safety rules set by the hotel.


Method of Payment

We accept all major credit cards and debit cards. We do not accept cash or checks.


Guest Registration

Guests are required to present a valid government-issued photo identification at the time of check-in. Acceptable forms of identification include a valid driver’s license, valid passport or other recognized form of photo identification.

During registration, we will require an acceptable credit card or debit card. The card presented will be authorized at check-in for the estimated amount of your entire stay (room and applicable taxes, plus $200/day to cover incidentals). The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged.

Please be advised that if you choose to use your debit card, it may take 4-15 business days for the credit hold on your bank account to be released after check-out. The hotel is not responsible for overdraft charges incurred due to hold.


Minors

Prior to or at the time of check-in, The Lodge at Torrey Pines requires a parent, legal guardian or other responsible adult assume, in writing, full liability for all charges and other obligations incurred by an unaccompanied minor seeking to check-in to the hotel.


Parking

Self-parking is available at The Lodge at Torrey Pines and rates are $55 per day. Valet service is $65 per day. The hotel is not responsible for the loss of or damage to your vehicle or its contents.

 
Smoking Policy

The Lodge at Torrey Pines is committed to providing its guests and associates with a smoke-free environment. Our resort and all of our guest rooms are non-smoking. There will be a $250 cleaning fee for those who choose not to follow the no smoking policy. This policy also applies to electronic smoking devices such as e-cigarettes. The Lodge at Torrey Pines reserves the right to charge any guest who violates the smoking policy the premium room rate for each night the room is deemed not rentable due to the scent of smoke.


Dog-Friendly

We are pleased to welcome one housebroken dog per guest room weighing 50 lb. or less, or two smaller dogs (with a combined weight of 75 lb. or less). There is a non-refundable room cleaning fee of $150 on the day of check-in for guests with dogs.  Dogs must be leashed at all times while outside of your guest room. We also ask that you consider other hotel guests during your stay. If your dog is left in the room alone, he/she may cry or howl. If he becomes anxious or afraid, he/she may run out of the room. Accordingly, we ask that you avoid leaving your dog unattended in your guest room. If the need arises for you to leave your dog unattended, we recommend arranging for a responsible dog-sitter in advance. The Concierge may be able to assist you in locating a suitable dog-sitter should you be unable to locate one.

The cleaning fee will be waived for a guide, signal, or service dog only.  Emotional support and comfort dogs are allowed, but associated cleaning fees will not be waived.  Other pet types such as cats, birds, monkeys, reptiles, or other animals are not permitted. 


Quiet Time

We would like each of our guests to enjoy a quiet and peaceful environment while staying with us. In the event you or your guests cause an unreasonable disturbance to others, one warning will be given to you to reduce noise. If this warning is not followed, you will forfeit all advance deposits and must leave the hotel immediately. The hotel reserves the right to evict a guest without warning if the circumstances warrant.


Guest Property

For your convenience and security, small safes are provided in each guest room to store your valuable belongings. The Lodge at Torrey Pines cannot be responsible for any loss, theft or damage to guests’ property.


Drones

To ensure the safety, privacy, and comfort of all guests and staff, flying, launching, or landing drones, radio-controlled aircraft, or unmanned aerial systems (“Drones”) on or above Hotel property is strictly prohibited. This policy includes applies to all Hotel grounds, including all public areas and parking lots. Guests found violating this policy may be asked to cease Drone activity immediately. Further action may include confiscation of the Drone, reporting to authorities, or removal from Hotel premises, as determined by Hotel management.


If We Must Make a Change

We do not anticipate any need to make changes to your reservations. Sometimes, however changes are unavoidable and we reserve the right to make changes if necessary. In the unlikely event an overbooking occurs due to an unforeseen stay over or any other circumstance, and a room is not available to a guest holding a confirmed reservation, The Lodge at Torrey Pines will arrange and pay for the guest’s first night’s accommodation at another nearby hotel. If the guest has paid an advance deposit, this amount will be refunded to the guest. The Lodge at Torrey Pines will attempt to notify the guest as soon as it is practical to do so.
