Sales Department Staff Changes
Stephanie Walker Promoted to Director of Sales;
Julie Power Named National Sales Manager
Two changes to sales staff were recently announced by The Lodge at Torrey Pines.
Stephanie Walker, a 16-year veteran of the hospitality industry, was recently promoted to the position of Director of Sales for the resort. Stephanie began her career as Executive Meetings Manager with The Lodge in 2002. She was promoted shortly thereafter to Sales Manager for the Midwest, Incentive and Canadian markets. Based on her outstanding sales & leadership performance, another promotion to Associate Director of Sales followed in 2007.
In her current position as Director of Sales, Stephanie will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the entire sales team at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. Additional duties involve creating the budget and marketing plan, overseeing department organization and management, setting sales goals and standards, and conducting performance evaluations and reviews.
Stephanie’s professional affiliations include membership in the national organizations Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the Society of Incentive & Travel Executives (SITE).
“Nothing gives us greater pleasure than being able to promote an outstanding employee within our company. As a recipient of the Top Sales Manager for Evan’s Hotels designation for five consecutive years, Stephanie has proven herself to be a sales professional of the highest caliber since she began her career at The Lodge, “said Ilsa Butler, Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
Another addition to The Lodge sales team is Julie Power, who was recently appointed to the position of National Sales Manager. In her new role, she will be responsible for all corporate, association and incentive accounts in the Midwest region.
Julie most recently held the positions of Conference Sales Manager and Executive Meetings Manager for Wynn/Encore Resorts in Las Vegas for the Mid-West and West Coast regions. She was the recipient of several sales awards during her tenure with the company.
”We are pleased to welcome Julie to our sales team, as we are certain she will apply her exceptional sales and marketing talents to generating new corporate and incentive business for The Lodge at Torrey Pines”, said Ilsa Butler, Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
